Jürgen Steinberger, former President of Knorr-Bremse’s commercial vehicle business branch, is proceeding with his English-language course in the fall semester.
The unique course by BME and Knorr-Bremse, Synergy of Engineering and Business: The Disruptive Transformation of the Truck Industry (case study 2), gives you insights into technological, market, and regulatory changes and prepares you for the challenges ahead.
As the renowned guest lecturer summarised the concept of the course in an interview last year: „It is important to understand the background: why we do things. That’s why I decided to broaden this course and give an insight into what is going on in the truck industry. This includes the results and consequences, but also the background – and what it takes to manage it all. Because it’s not just about coming up with the right technical solution. It’s also about being able to decide where to focus resources.”
The truck industry and the logistics sector is going through a revolutionary change: e-mobility, automated driving, new market models, and innovative business strategies – and you can be part of understanding it from the inside. This course is more than just lectures, it’s a chance to develop your engineering and business skills with practical, real-world examples. Good news: taking the previous course is not a prerequisite. Both BSc and MSc students are welcome!
