6G for All” summer university has started at BME!

The BME Department of Telecommunications and Artificial Intelligence launched today the “6G for All” summer university for 21 students. The event, which takes place under the association of EELISA European University has an international character and attended by students from Erlangen (Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg – FAU), Madrid (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid – UPM), Istanbul (İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi – ITU) and Bucharest (Politehnica University of Bucharest – UPB). In addition to the physical presence sessions, 25 students attended the Summer University lectures online.

The developing 6G technology promises the realisation of futuristic applications and services. The joint summer university event of the three European universities (BME, FAU, UPM) in Budapest is will to teach the technological basics, evaluate the expected use cases and their societal impact in a joint group work.

The practical exercises of the summer university are based on the cases of researches in the HSN Lab, tested on the joint BME-Ericsson 5G Campus network and supported by mentoring of students by our industrial partners (Ericsson, EvoSoft, Joseki Solutions).
