Assembly: 16:00
Statue unveiling: 17:00
The girls can scan collective and the Architecture Student Studio cordially invite you to the garden of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics for the unveiling of a statue on 8 March on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
We are delighted to welcome Momento, the chamber choir of the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, and the BME ÉPK and the Pro Progressio Foundation are launching an open competition for the BME Garden and the Eszter Pécsi Hall.
As part of this grassroots initiative, we are celebrating together female engineers in a fitting way: during the commemoration, the first (non-allegorical) statue of a woman will be unveiled in the University garden. Please bring at least one more engineer to the ceremony!
We believe that there is someone to remember, so please send the names of female engineers worthy of celebration with a short description of why they are being remembered to girlscanscan@gmail.com.
The event is mentored by the ÉPK and supported by the whole BME, EELISA and the Pro Progressio Foundation.
