CompSA: Competition on Sustainable Agriculture!



CompSA is a two-day competition in Budapest, taking place on November 28-29 at evosoft Hungary Headquarters, designed to challenge students to address complex issues in sustainable agriculture. The event encourages innovative thinking, with the potential for participants to develop startup ideas from their solutions. The competition welcomes 25 teams (up to 100 participants), providing meals and coffee breaks throughout.

What to expect

Day 1: Teams of up to four participants will brainstorm on a given topic and submit a short documentation of their solution. The jury will review and rank the teams based on creativity, feasibility, and logical thinking.
Day 2: New information related to the challenge will be introduced, which teams must integrate into their solutions. In an elevator pitch, they will present the revised solution, giving them a chance to improve their ranking. By noon, the top 6 teams will be selected to compete in the final round. In the final, each team will give a 10-minute presentation, and the jury will select the winners based on these pitches.

Task details

Accessibility: The tasks are designed to test creativity and logical thinking and are accessible to all, even first-year engineering students.
The complete picture: To provide an optimal solution, teams must consider engineering, economic, and social aspects of the challenge.
Independent Research: Internet access will be available during work sessions, and conducting your own research will be crucial to success.
Teamwork: With limited time, effective task distribution within teams is key. Collaboration and communication will be essential!

Application requirements:

A team consists of 2 to 4 university students.
Anyone, from any university and background can apply as long as they are enrolled in a BSc/MSc programme.
The competition lasts for 2 days, participation of the team is mandatory on both days.
Each team member must apply individually! If you wish to be on the same team, write the same team name in the form.
